“Mathematics is not about numbers, equations, computations or algorithms: it is about understanding.” - William Paul Thurston
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Maths to join our successful Mathematics Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to make a meaningful impact on students’ progress and to contribute to a dynamic, supportive team. The successful candidate will deliver high‑quality teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the ability to teach at Key Stage 5 an advantage.
Our curriculum aims to empower students to develop and apply problem solving skills focusing predominantly on the powerful and overarching mathematical components: proportional reasoning, geometrical reasoning and graphical representations. Our aim is to encourage students to develop mathematical behaviour; as such, our curriculum encourages students to develop deeper understanding to make links across curriculum areas and foster a mastery approach.
