Lead Worker-Janitor

Pay Rate: $19.56/hr

Job Title: Lead Worker – Janitor

The Lead Worker – Janitor is responsible for overseeing the maintenance staff in accordance with the Federal contract, Didlake\’s policies, and applicable laws. This role involves planning, assigning, and supervising cleaning tasks to ensure cleanliness and safety in designated areas.

Responsibilities:

Supervise and evaluate subordinate staff in cleaning and maintenance tasks.
Plan and assign work to meet contract requirements and standards.
Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevator banks, stairways, locker rooms, and other areas.
Use appropriate equipment to clean floors, including brooms, mops, and powered scrubbing and waxing machines.
Polish metal fixtures and fittings.
Wash windows, door panels, and sills.
Empty wastebaskets and replenish bathroom and floor supplies.
Set an example through dependability, professionalism, and personal appearance.
Assign tasks, distribute supplies and equipment, and inspect completed work for quality.
Requisition supplies and equipment from the Project Manager.
Train employees in cleaning procedures and equipment use.
Address employee and customer complaints and resolve issues, consulting supervisors as needed.
Assist with general cleaning duties when necessary.
Foster a positive team environment and ensure quality work standards.
Maintain appropriate conduct and demeanor per Didlake policies.
Complete all required documentation and paperwork.
Use resources responsibly and efficiently.
Follow safety standards and guidelines for equipment use and activities.
Complete and maintain all required Didlake training.
