The role:
Do you have a good working knowledge of and experience of working within the national exams system and enjoy supporting young people in gaining their full potential? We are seeking an Exams Access Coordinator to work alongside our SEND team and facilitate exams access for students with specific requirements. You will need excellent communication skills and the ability to build a good rapport with students, families, and the relevant school staff. Good IT skills are also required, together with the ability to learn how to use different IT systems used by the exam boards and the JCQ.
The successful candidate will need to be qualified as a specialist assessor, or be willing to undertake the necessary training to qualify in this role. Experience of administering assessments would be preferable, although training can be given. It will be essential to have a good understanding of SEND and the impact of different needs on students’ learning and progress.
