As an M&A Associate specializing in valuations, you’ll play a key role in analysing, valuing, and supporting transactions across a wide range of industries. You’ll work closely with the Head of Corporate Finance to prepare financial models, valuation reports, and deal documentation that inform strategic decisions and client advice.
- Conduct business valuations using a variety of methodologies (DCF, market comparables, precedent transactions, and asset-based approaches).
- Prepare detailed financial models and forecasts to support deal negotiations.
- Analyse financial statements and business performance to identify key value drivers.
- Draft professional valuation reports and client presentations.
- Support due diligence processes and assist with transaction execution.
- Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities within the existing client base.
About You
You will be someone who is analytical, commercially minded, and confident working with complex financial data — but who also values strong communication and teamwork.
- Essential Skills & Experience :
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience
- Strong financial analysis and modelling skills (Excel and / or valuation software).
- Experience preparing or reviewing business valuations, ideally within M&A, corporate finance, or accountancy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proactive, professional, and client-focused approach.
- Desirable :
- ACA, ACCA, CFA or similar qualification (or working towards).
- Experience within an SME advisory, corporate finance, or professional services firm.
- Understanding of transaction processes, due diligence, and deal structuring.
