TECHNICAL ACCOUNTANT – 6 MONTH CONTRACT

We are recruiting for a Technical Accountant to join the finance team of a leading Liverpool-based organisation on a 6-month fixed-term contract.
The role will have a strong focus on year-end accounting, audit preparation and technical accounting support, making it ideal for an experienced accountant who can hit the ground running.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting the year-end accounts process
- Preparing information and schedules for external audit
- Assisting with audit queries and providing supporting documentation
- Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and accounting schedules
- Supporting technical accounting requirements and financial reporting
- Assisting with month-end and year-end journals
- Working closely with the wider Finance team to ensure deadlines are met
- Identifying and resolving accounting issues
We are looking for:
- Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge
- Previous year-end and audit experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work to tight deadlines
- Able to work independently and liaise confidently with auditors and senior finance colleagues
- Available to commit to a 6-month contract
