Our client, a busy and well-established accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual looking for flexible working hours within a professional practice environment.
Please note: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
- Processing purchase and sales invoices.
- Completing bank and credit card reconciliations.
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
- Maintaining accurate financial records using cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
- Assisting with management accounts and year-end preparation.
- Liaising directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries and provide ongoing support.
- Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice (essential).
- Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and/or Sage.
- A solid understanding of VAT and double-entry bookkeeping.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and client relationship skills.
- The ability to manage multiple client deadlines and work independently.
- An AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
