Our client, a busy and well-established accountancy practice, is seeking an experienced Part-Time Bookkeeper to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and organised individual looking for flexible working hours within a professional practice environment.

Please note: Previous experience working within an accountancy practice is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients across a range of industries.
  • Processing purchase and sales invoices.
  • Completing bank and credit card reconciliations.
  • Preparing and submitting VAT returns.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records using cloud-based accounting software, including Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
  • Assisting with management accounts and year-end preparation.
  • Liaising directly with clients to resolve bookkeeping queries and provide ongoing support.
  • Ensuring work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • Previous bookkeeping experience within an accountancy practice (essential).
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks and/or Sage.
  • A solid understanding of VAT and double-entry bookkeeping.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and client relationship skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple client deadlines and work independently.
  • An AAT qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
