Description
Role Purpose
Supporting the People & Culture function during a period of parental leave. The role will provide end‑to‑end People & Culture advisory, operational support and Business Partner activities. The position will commence approximately two months prior to parental leave to support handover and will continue for two months following return to ensure a strong transition.

What you will do in the role:

People & Culture Advisory & Operations
Provide timely, practical advice to managers and employees on a range of HR matters. Build strong working relationships across corporate, warehouse and operational functions, understanding business drivers and challenges. Coach and guide leaders on best‑practice people management, employee engagement and leadership capability. Provide advice on Australian employment legislation, and internal policies, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation. Support managers in managing complex employee relations matters, including performance concerns, misconduct, grievances and workplace investigations. Advise on employment matters to warehouse, operational and corporate environments, including Award interpretation, WHS considerations and disciplinary processes. Lead and facilitate formal performance management meetings, including underperformance and misconduct discussions. Ensure performance processes are applied consistently and documented appropriately. Assist with People & Culture process improvement and documentation updates. Maintain HR trackers, organisational charts, directories and employee records. Draft employment contracts, contract amendments and related documentation for Australia. Coordinate and monitor flexible work requests. Coordinate visa sponsorships with immigration agents. Work closely with payroll to coordinate pay-related changes.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding
End-to-end recruitment for assigned roles, including:
Advertising and talent sourcing
Phone screening
Interview coordination and attendance
Reference checking
Proactively source candidates using LinkedIn, Seek and alternative channels. Monitor recruitment metrics and recommend improvements. Liaise with recruitment agencies when required, ensuring agreed fee structures. Coordinate onboarding activities through ELMO, including new starter forms, inductions and system access. Liaise with IT of new starters and staff changes.

Coordination, Engagement & Culture
Assist with the annual performance review process through ELMO. Coordinate new starter and exit interviews and collate feedback. Maintain employee files, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity. Track birthdays and service anniversaries and coordinate communications and celebrations. Maintain People & Culture intranet announcements.

Skills And Experiences
What you will need to succeed in the role:
Previous experience as a Senior P&C Advisor, Business Partner or similar. Demonstrated experience in end-to-end recruitment in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Australian employment legislation. Knowledge of Blue-Collar workforces is desired but not essential. High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organisational and time management skills. Strong attention to detail with a collaborative, solution-focused mindset. Intermediate Microsoft Office skills. Experience using HRIS systems (ELMO desirable but not essential).
