About the Role
As a Storage BDM, you will be responsible for developing and executing business strategies to grow vendor revenue and market share. You’ll work closely with resellers, vendor partners, and internal teams to build pipeline, drive opportunities, and achieve revenue and rebate targets. This role blends relationship management, account development, and new business growth, requiring a consultative and proactive sales approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales & Growth
    Drive vendor revenue by achieving and exceeding sales and rebate targets. Build, manage, and grow a strong sales pipeline. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the partner channel. Forecast accurately on a monthly and quarterly basis.
  • Partner & Vendor Engagement
    Develop strong relationships with resellers and understand their business needs. Act as a key point of contact for storage solutions within your portfolio. Work closely with vendor partners to align on strategy, programs, and growth opportunities. Attend vendor and reseller events, training sessions, and industry activities.
  • Collaboration
    Partner with Account Managers, Product Managers, and wider sales teams to progress opportunities. Support quoting, deal structuring, and special pricing processes. Contribute to business unit growth plans and territory strategies.
  • Operational Excellence
    Maintain accurate reporting on activity, pipeline, and forecasting. Complete and execute territory plans. Achieve KPIs including customer engagement and activity targets. Obtain and maintain relevant vendor certifications.

About You
Proven experience as a Business Development Manager or similar sales role within IT distribution or vendor/channel environment. Exposure to or strong interest in storage technologies. Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities. Highly organised with strong pipeline management and forecasting capability. Proactive, driven, and comfortable working autonomously and within a team.
