We have an exciting opportunity in our Rotherham clinic for a Healthcare Assistant who wants to make a difference in our patients' lives. You will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures and in order to increase the quality of life for our patients. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided to you, including on-the-job training, e-learning and access to our in-house education programme.
Main duties of the job
- Maintain clean equipment following proper training.
- Prepare supplies and packs for treatment.
- Conduct health checks with patients before and after dialysis.
- Escort patients to clinical and waiting areas.
- Serve refreshments during treatments.
Our Requirements
- Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health; Social Care or equivalent (preferably working towards level 3).
- Ideally, previous experience in a hospital and healthcare setting.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care.
- Excellent communication skills (oral + written) with fluency in English.
What We Offer
- Part time position, 22 hours per week.
- Monday to Saturday (no nights or Sunday working).
- Competitive salary up to £25,086 depending on experience.
- Overtime paid at time and a half after completing full-time hours (150 hours every 4 weeks).

For this role you must be able to work clinically in a renal setting. All positions at Diaverum are subject to a satisfactory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check as part of our recruitment process. This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exception Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
