We have an exciting opportunity in our Gloucester - Cotswold clinic for a Healthcare Assistant who wants to make a difference in our patients' lives. You will provide patient care according to Diaverum procedures and in order to increase the quality of life for our patients. A comprehensive professional training programme will be provided to you, including on-the-job training, e-learning and access to our in-house education programme 'd Academy.

Main duties of the job

Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will be expected to support the nursing team by undertaking a range of duties. Duties can include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining clean equipment following appropriate training.
  • Preparing supplies and packs for treatment.
  • Undertaking health checks with patients pre and post dialysis.
  • Escorting patients to the clinical and waiting areas.
  • Serving refreshments during treatments.

Our Requirements:

  • Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health; Social Care or equivalent (preferably working towards level 3).
  • Ideally, previous experience in a hospital and healthcare setting.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • A positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care.
  • Excellent communication skills (oral + written) with fluency in English.

What We Offer:

  • Part time position, 34.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Saturday, with shift hours from 6:30am to 11:30pm (please note there are no nights or Sunday working).
  • Competitive Salary of up to £25,086 pro rata depending on experience.
  • Overtime paid at time and a half after completing full-time hours (150 hours every 4 weeks).
