As a Healthcare Assistant at our Blackburn clinic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care following Diaverum procedures, ultimately improving our patients' quality of life. We're committed to your professional growth and will provide comprehensive training, including on-the-job training, e-learning, and access to our in-house education program, 'd Academy.'
Your Responsibilities:
- Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Maintaining clean equipment following proper training.
- Preparing supplies and packs for treatment.
- Conducting health checks with patients before and after dialysis.
- Escorting patients to clinical and waiting areas.
- Serving refreshments during treatments.
Our Requirements:
- Must be educated to GCSE level or equivalent.
- Minimum NVQ level 2 in Health; Social Care or equivalent (preferably working towards level 3).
- Ideally, previous experience in a hospital and healthcare setting.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A positive and dynamic approach to delivering safe and effective care.
- Excellent communication skills (oral + written) with fluency in English.
What We Offer:
- Full-time position, 37.5 hours per week.
- Monday to Saturday (please note there are no nights or Sunday working).
- Competitive Salary of up to £25,086 depending on experience.
- Overtime paid at time and a half after completing full-time hours (150 hours every 4 weeks).
