The Social Media Executive – Organic is responsible for managing and growing Diaspora Insurance’s organic social media presence across all key platforms. This role is responsible for daily posting, community engagement, organic content distribution, influencer coordination, and partnership visibility, ensuring brand consistency, corridor relevance, and responsive audience interaction. Given the cultural sensitivity of diaspora audiences and the regulatory nature of insurance, this role plays a critical role in protecting brand tone, trust, and responsiveness.
Key Responsibilities- Organic Social Media Management
- Manage daily organic posting across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), and LinkedIn.
- Execute the approved social media content calendar in alignment with campaigns, product launches, and events.
- Adapt captions, formats, and posting styles per platform while maintaining brand tone and compliance.
- Support marketing campaigns, PR initiatives, and events through organic amplification.
- Community Management & Engagement
- Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across all platforms in a timely and professional manner.
- Foster positive, respectful engagement within diaspora communities.
- Identify and elevate sensitive queries, complaints, or product-related questions in line with internal compliance and escalation procedures.
- Monitor audience sentiment and recurring feedback, sharing insights with the wider marketing team.
- Influencer & Partnership Coordination
- Support influencer and community partnership campaigns through content coordination and organic amplification.
- Act as the day-to-day point of contact for influencers and partners for posting timelines, content formats, brand guidelines, and tagging requirements.
- Track influencer and partner deliverables against agreed schedules and flag delays or gaps.
- Maintain an influencer and partner activity tracker (posting dates, content live links, engagement metrics).
- Corridor-Level Localisation
- Localise approved messaging and captions for different African corridors and audience segments.
- Ensure cultural sensitivity and relevance in day-to-day engagement.
- Work closely with Content, PR, and Events teams to support corridor-specific campaigns.
- Content Distribution & Coordination
- Publish content supplied by Content Creators, Designers, and the PR & Events team.
- Ensure assets are formatted correctly and meet quality standards before publishing.
- Support approved live or near-live organic coverage during events.
- Reporting & Performance Tracking
- Track organic social performance metrics including engagement, reach, impressions, follower growth, and response times.
- Track influencer and partner post performance at a content and engagement level.
- Prepare monthly organic social and influencer activity reports highlighting trends, reach, and engagement.
- 2–4 years’ experience managing organic social media for a brand or agency.
- Demonstrable experience coordinating influencer or partner-led social campaigns.
- Strong understanding of organic social media best practices and platform algorithms.
- Excellent written communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Proven experience in community management and audience engagement.
- Ability to manage multiple platforms, partners, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Meta Business Suite
- Native analytics tools (TikTok, X, LinkedIn, YouTube)
- Social scheduling tools (e.g. Meta Scheduler, Hootsuite, Buffer)
- Influencer/content tracking tools (or structured trackers in Google Sheets)
- Basic creative tools for light edits only (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express)
- Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field.
- Experience working with influencers, ambassadors, or community partners.
- Experience working with multicultural, community-led, or diaspora audiences.
- Exposure to regulated industries such as insurance or financial services.
