Main Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture and filtration of bulk reagents including adjustments based on performance feedback from the QC department.
  • Preparation of equipment and utensils involved in product manufacture (cleaning and sterilisation).
  • Preparation of solid phase components used within in vitro diagnostic products (ELISA/CLIA).
  • Operation of filling lines to produce filled material or supporting technicians with filling runs.
  • Perform routine maintenance and verification of equipment used within production.
  • Participating in the assembly and packing of finished products.
  • To complete all documentation accurately and in a timely manner highlighting issues to line manager as soon as they occur.
  • Use the quality management system to ensure compliance to procedures including supporting line manager in conducting periodic reviews and performing updates where necessary.
  • Comply with all company procedures governing the role including quality documents, HR and EHS policies.
  • Contribute to site approved projects to ensure their timely completion.
  • Assist with validation/qualification activities of new equipment/processes.
  • Work with technical department to complete investigation testing when required.
  • Maintain adequate supply of standards and reference components.
  • Maintain a sufficient supply of stock inventory to ensure deadlines are met and ensuring inventory transactions are completed both accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Deputise for line manager during periods of leave/absence.
  • Approach the role in a flexible manner and be prepared to adapt to requirements outside of the immediate role that are essential to the organisation.

Skill Requirements:

  • Science based education or relevant experience desirable.
  • Knowledge of one or more manufacturing processes.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to changes in priorities.
  • Good numeracy skills.
  • Willing to learn new skills to support Manufacturing needs.
