About the Role
As a Senior Account Executive, you will support Account Managers and Directors across a portfolio of travel and hospitality clients while taking ownership of key areas, including media relations and campaign delivery.
Responsibilities
- Media Relations
- Build strong relationships with journalists, editors and influencers across travel, lifestyle and hospitality media
- Proactively secure editorial coverage across print, digital and social platforms
- Arrange regular journalist meetings and maintain media relationships
- Manage incoming press requests, including interviews, images and editorial opportunities
- Compile and maintain targeted media lists
- Client Account Management
- Act as a key contact within client account teams
- Support Account Managers and Directors in the day-to-day management of accounts
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports analysing campaign performance
- Monitor media coverage and competitor activity
- Support client meetings and ensure follow-up actions are delivered efficiently
- Campaigns & Strategy
- Contribute ideas to PR campaigns and brand launches
- Identify emerging trends and media opportunities relevant to client brands
- Support strategic planning for hotel openings, partnerships and new initiatives
- Conduct industry and competitor research to inform communications strategies
- Press Trips & Events
- Coordinate individual and group press trips for travel clients
- Assist with itinerary planning, journalist outreach and logistics
- Support media events, brand launches and industry activations
- Attend industry events and represent the agency where appropriate
- Communications & Content
- Draft press releases, media pitches and campaign materials
- Conduct proactive outreach to journalists and influencers
- Support influencer collaborations and partnership opportunities
- Assist with press mailings and gifting initiatives
Qualifications & Experience
- The role requires someone who is proactive, organised and highly motivated, with strong editorial instincts and a genuine passion for the travel and hospitality industry
- 2-4 years' PR experience, ideally within travel, hospitality or lifestyle sectors
- Strong understanding of the UK media landscape
- Experience securing editorial coverage across print and digital media
- Excellent written communication and storytelling ability
- Strong organisational and project management skills
- Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced agency environment
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and media databases, including Roxhill
- Passionate about travel, hotels, restaurants and lifestyle culture
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail
