The Assistant Production Manager will support the Production Manager in ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe operations within a high-performance manufacturing environment, taking responsibility for production when required and driving continuous improvement. Reporting to the Production Manager you will ensure production continues smoothly and targets are hit/exceeded.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor high-performance machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production.
- Maintain quality output by following stringent performance and inspection standards.
- Troubleshoot mechanical and process issues quickly to minimise downtime and maintain production flow.
- Support the Production Manager with daily operations, reporting, shift planning, and coordination.
- Assume full responsibility for production activities when the Production Manager is absent.
- Drive a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across the production line.
- Monitor KPIs, identify performance deviations, and take proactive action to ensure targets are met.
- Work effectively under pressure, making confident, informed decisions to keep production running smoothly.
