ROLE
You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing a variety of internal and external events, both online and offline. Working within the business development and marketing team, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a wide variety of events from roundtables and networking events through to conferences and online webinars. This is a great opportunity for someone who is innovative and wants to push the boundaries in creating memorable and impactful experiences through events. While this role can be based out of any of our offices, you will be expected to travel to different event locations in London, Kent and Sussex.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with BD managers and legal teams to develop events relevant to audience needs and aligned to the business strategy.
- Make recommendations for event format, venues, speakers, etc. to create stand-out events.
- Liaise with BD and legal teams to manage marketing lists and getting the right people to the events.
- Develop compelling marketing materials including presentations and invitations to support the event.
- Oversee the technical setup and operation of virtual event platforms (i.e. Zoom webinar) from initial invite through to post-event follow up.
- Run rehearsals and provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to speakers and participants during virtual events.
- Collect qualitative feedback from attendees and key stakeholders to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare post-event analysis, capturing quantitative key metrics, participant feedback, and ROI analysis.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience and demonstrable track record (min. 2 years) in event planning and coordination, preferably in the professional services industry.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach to event planning and execution.
- Proficiency in virtual event platforms (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and familiarity with digital tools eg. email marketing, video editing, etc.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards last-minute challenges and changes.
- Flexibility to attend in-person events, including occasional evening work.
