Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be representing our client, a well-established company recruiting for a Health and Safety Officer working in their offices based in Rochester. Local and/or transport required due to location.
Established in excess of 20+ years, our client is a small, close-knit team with a very family-focused ethos who exist to support the ongoing successes of their clients.
The Role:
- Helping colleagues with day-to-day H&S queries
- Checking legacy documents for correctness and updating/reissuing as required
- Liaising with internal/external project stakeholders to develop project requirements (clients, principal designers, lead vendors etc)
- Updating compliance portals (Safe Contractor/CHAS/Avetta/Altius/Constructionline/Facilities line)
- Completing PQQs (PAS-91/CAS)
- Ensuring ATL site remains fully compliant (site inspections, alarm testing, PPM)
- Work alongside ATL external H&S/compliance consultant to ensure monthly audits are done and any next steps are dealt with as a matter of urgency
- Oversee relevant training requirements for site teams (e.g., CSCS/SMSTS/IPAF/PASMA etc)
- Conversant with requirements of CDM.
- Can write clear & concise policy documentation.
- Experience of applying H&S/CDM in a retail GNFR (Goods Not For Resale) & shopfitting environment very useful.
- Must be able to produce high quality work with accuracy and factual correctness.
- Must understand how to apply risk management using hazard hierarchy of control.
- Can prioritise own workload.
- Work well under pressure.
Working pattern: Monday - Friday. 09:00 - 17:00.
Candidate Requirements:
- Familiar with PQQ portals/accreditations.
- Compliance experience (ISO9001/ISO14001).
- Min. Tech.IOSH.
- Good sense of humour (business critical!)
