This is a full-time, office-based role, with a 7.30am start time and a salary offering of £30-£40K.
Currently seeking a Marketing Assistant / Marketing & Events Coordinator, this exciting role represents a great opportunity to join the team. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, the Marketing & Events Coordinator assists the Head of Marketing with the delivery of the Marketing Strategy, Marketing Plan and all other activities of the marketing department. They will assist with the continued development of the Marketing Plan and be an important guardian of the company brand identity.
The Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for:
- Organising all corporate hospitality and staff events.
- Ensuring the provision of branded merchandise and clothing.
- Maintaining and developing marketing and sales materials/content across all marketing channels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the creation, development and execution of the Marketing Strategy and Marketing Plan.
- Organise all corporate hospitality events, including staff events.
- Assist with any business development requirements, organising corporate luncheons and dinners.
- Assist with the creation, development and updating of marketing and sales materials.
- Assist with the development and delivery of social media content, issuing posts and management.
- Assist with the creation, development and management of email marketing campaigns.
- Assist with the development and updating of website content.
- Assist with the development and delivery of internal communications to staff.
- Create and maintain completed construction project profiles.
- Maintain marketing and business contact lists, including the updating of marketing systems.
- Assist with the development, use and improvement of marketing systems/applications.
- Organise all branded merchandise and clothing, including managing the stock control/ordering process for all current and future requirements.
- Ensure the brand management and corporate identity guidelines/requirements are implemented and adhered to by staff, including the recommendation of enhancements/improvements.
- Keep the photography of construction projects up to date and saved/stored correctly in office systems.
- Ensure all marketing expenditures and the marketing budget are used most effectively and profitably.
- Handle enquiries/requirements/orders with marketing suppliers.
- Be a key point of contact for staff on marketing enquiries.
- Monitor and report on the performance of marketing systems, activities and campaigns.
- Maintain control procedures in accordance with Integrated Management Systems ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
The ideal candidate would come with marketing experience. However, candidates with a genuine interest in marketing and adequate experience in administration or sales would be considered. A background in the construction industry is preferred.
Skills required:
- IT skills (at least Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Driving licence.
- Good communication skills, both written and oral.
- Good time management and organisation skills.
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated.
- Interested in developing their marketing skills, both theoretical and practical.
- Approachable, with a professional manner.
- Dependable.
- Ability to work independently, flexibly, efficiently and as part of a team.
