Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be representing our company in their search for an Operations Assistant for their factory based in North Kent where they manufacture market leading products for the trades industry. Our well-established client has an excellent international reputation for the production and delivery of the highest quality products delivered across the UK and on an international basis.
Summary of the Role
Reporting to the Operations Director, the Operations Assistant will work in the Operations department including the warehouse, packing and production areas. The Operations Assistant will primarily support the work of the Warehouse, Production and Packing Supervisors to enable effective flow of work and to improve the output.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the sales office and packing dept re special orders scheduling, to assist each department in delivering their daily and weekly objectives.
- Communicate with Customer Service and Sales, keeping all stakeholders informed of stock levels and production schedules.
- Manage stock control of all bought in items.
- Provide cover for the Supervisor's annual leave and sickness.
- To carry out any other tasks that may be required from time to time for the benefit of the company as a whole.
About You
- Must have a minimum of 2 years experience in an operational role in a warehouse or packing environment.
- Some exposure and understanding of stock control.
- Excellent communication, numeracy and literacy skills.
- GCSE to min B in Maths and English.
- Must be computer literate with Excel to a very good level.

The role is based at Talons factory in Gillingham. It will not involve working at home unless there is a government directive to this end.
