Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be representing our company in their search for an Interim Operations Lead for their factory based in North Kent where they manufacture market leading products for the trades industry. Our well-established client has an excellent international reputation for the production and delivery of the highest quality products delivered across the UK and on an international basis.
Reporting to the Managing Director, the Interim Operations Lead will be responsible for overseeing the production and packing schedule in the factory and packing areas, and for ensuring the sales office, production, and packing departments are aligned together to deliver the 98% service level target.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Managing Director in all aspects of the daily operation in both the factory and packing area.
- Support all aspects of the business, specifically the work of the Production and Packing Supervisors to enable effective flow of work.
- Supporting the staff in both areas.
- Work on agency and perm staff rostering, gaining good understanding of the staffing requirements, including managing agency staffing where necessary, ensuring workloads and labour plans are aligned.
- To ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and deliveries from external suppliers are on schedule for delivery.
- Organise and facilitate regular meetings of all stakeholders to ensure transparency and delivery of operational activities.
- Communicate with Customer Service and Sales, keeping all stakeholders informed of stock levels and production schedules.
- Ensure Health & Safety policies are followed.
- On a daily basis, checking and ensuring all staff are working to required production targets and timelines and targets are met.
- To carry out any other tasks that may be required from time to time for the benefit of the company as a whole.
This is a Monday to Friday role, 8 hours per day with flexible start times to be agreed. This is an interim role for 3 - 4 month duration, offering an immediate start.

- Excellent people management and communications skills.
- A confident and engaging individual, able to inspire and motivate the team.
- Able to step in and oversee the manufacturing processes, reporting any issues to the Managing Director.
