This role offers a salary range of £24K-£28K dependent on experience, along with comprehensive training. Job Role: As Estimator (Procurement and Costing Specialist), you'll delve into the intricacies of cost management and procurement. You'll be pivotal in ensuring projects and products are cost-effective, without compromising on the high quality, which customers expect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Research: Rigorously investigate the costs of ingredients, packaging, and related items.
- Manage Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain solid relationships with suppliers, ensuring smooth business operations.
- Quotation Procurement: Secure quotes from suppliers within set deadlines, always aiming for optimal value.
- Project Viability Analysis: Evaluate the feasibility and profitability of potential and ongoing projects.
- Detailed Estimations: Prepare and present in-depth cost quotations and estimations for tasks and projects.
- Support Bidding: Aid in formulating bids for new contracts and assist buyers in their activities.
- Expense Monitoring: Regularly track costs at every project stage, ensuring adherence to projected budgets.
- Collaborate with R&D: Work closely with the Research and Development team when launching and costing new products.
The Ideal Candidate:
