Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be supporting our client in their search for a UK Materials Requirement Planner - Assistant to join their growing business based in Dartford, Kent. Managing various businesses within the commercial vehicle and mobile machinery markets via their national distributor network to over 80 countries worldwide, our client is a founder and innovator of sensing and monitoring systems that have helped save countless lives across the globe for over forty years.
Purpose of Role
To support the UK Materials Requirement Manager with data input and administration. Liaising between departments to ensure all information is correct and up to date, assisting with CSE (Customer Services Executive) requests. Ensuring all stock information is correct on UK systems (AV/BC).
Key Responsibilities
- To support the UK Materials Requirement Manager; to assist with planning.
- Consolidating ‘out of stock’ queries daily, requirements to be passed to UK Materials Requirement Manager to action accordingly if necessary.
- Ensure that in-house system data is up to date, availability dates, bin locations, etc.
- Booking in deliveries on in-house system in a timely manner.
- Advise sales and CSE’s that stock is available to sell.
- Ensure stock deliveries are designated to the correct locations.
- Answering Inventory questions for UK team as the main contact.
- Ensure critical/urgent enquiries are assessed and actions discussed with the UK Materials Requirement Manager.
- Update ETA on overdue purchase orders.
- Create sales orders from forecast and liaise with the CSEs for information on Sales orders.
- To manage stock related enquiries from all parts of the business and to make sure all UK stock is updated with ETAs and quantities.
- Maintain visibility on bespoke products – collate information weekly and feedback lead times to CSE.
- To report any issues to UK Materials Requirement Manager.
About You:
- Minimum of 5 GCSE “O” levels (to include Maths and English).
- Analytical intellect with an eye for detail.
- Highly numerate and literate.
- Ability to achieve targets – individual, team and company.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft – specifically Excel.
- Experience with Inventory Administration.
- Ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Good level of communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, management, and colleagues.
- Strong focus on delivering excellent customer service.
This role would be ideally suited to someone with previous experience of a Fast Moving Material Planning Operation.
