Diamond Search Recruitment are proud to be representing our client, a long-established and rapidly expanding leader in wet stock management, specialising in mechanical and electrical services within hazardous areas. Due to continued growth, they are seeking skilled and motivated Field Service Mechanical Technicians/Pipefitters to join their expanding team.
Role Overview
You will work on a wide range of fuel systems, hazardous area equipment, and mechanical installations, delivering high-quality service across both private and public sector sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out OFTEC inspections, PPM tasks, remedial works and project installations
- Work on fuel systems and associated control systems
- Ensure full compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain accurate online reporting
- Travel to client sites around the M4 corridor (company vehicle provided)
Essential Requirements
- 3+ years’ mechanical engineering experience (hazardous areas or fuel systems)
- NVQ Level 3 in Engineering Maintenance/Installation or equivalent
- Strong IT skills and ability to complete digital reports
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills
- Full, clean UK driving licence
- Eligibility to obtain SC, DV & DBS clearance
Desirable Skills
- Pipe threading (2” to ½”, all common thread types)
- Experience with double skin and plastic pipework systems
- Competence in pipe containment and support systems
- Installation, maintenance, inspection and decommissioning of pipework
- Experience with specialist systems such as Brugg or OmegaFlex
- Experience with fuel systems or hazardous substances
- CompEx 11 Mechanical qualification
- OFTEC or Confined Space certification

Working Hours
Average 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, between 6am and 6pm.
