Diamond Search are recruiting on behalf of a growing children’s residential care provider for an exceptional Registered Manager to lead a new home in Sutton Coldfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who is passionate about delivering outstanding care and achieving positive outcomes for children and young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a children’s residential home in line with Children’s Homes Regulations (England) 2015
  • Maintain and strive for Good or Outstanding Ofsted ratings
  • Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, welfare and safety
  • Create a nurturing, stable and positive environment for children and young people
  • Develop and maintain Care Plans, Risk Assessments and behaviour support strategies
  • Recruit, lead, supervise and develop a high-performing staff team
  • Plan activities, events and experiences tailored to individual needs
  • Manage budgets, resources and home maintenance
  • Complete all mandatory training and ensure staff compliance
  • Maintain Ofsted registration and DBS Update Service status
  • Report safeguarding and compliance matters to senior leadership

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Proven leadership experience within a children’s residential setting
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding, child protection and regulatory compliance
  • Knowledge of Ofsted frameworks and quality standards
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-building skills
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or willingness to complete within 2 years)
