Diamond Search Recruitment are representing a leading children’s residential care provider seeking an experienced Registered Manager to run a specialist children’s home supporting young people aged 12–18 with complex mental health needs and high-risk behaviours. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong leader with experience in children’s residential care, Ofsted compliance, and trauma-informed practice to step into a high-impact role within a multi-disciplinary setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a specialist home, ensuring high-quality, safe care
- Drive Ofsted compliance with a target of achieving “Good” or above
- Develop personalised care plans and oversee therapeutic, emotional, and educational support
- Recruit, train, and develop a stable, high-performing staff team
- Maintain strong safeguarding culture and respond to incidents effectively
- Work collaboratively with clinicians, teachers, parents, and Local Authorities
- Manage budgets and ensure commercial performance of the home

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care
- At least 1 year in a supervisory/management role
- Level 3 Residential Childcare (essential)
- Level 5 Leadership & Management (preferred or willingness to enrol)
- Strong knowledge of Quality Standards, SCCIF & safeguarding
- Experience supporting young people with emotional/behavioural or mental health needs
- Full UK driving licence
