Diamond Search Recruitment is delighted to be representing our client in the recruitment of an experienced and commercially minded Head of Marketing. This is a senior opportunity to lead the marketing, brand and communications function for a well-established organisation operating across specialist education and care services.
The Opportunity
As Head of Marketing, you will take ownership of the organisation's marketing, brand and communications strategy, helping to strengthen its reputation, support sustainable growth and position the organisation as an employer of choice. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, with a dotted line to the Commercial Director, you will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation to deliver integrated marketing activity supporting business growth, referrals, employee attraction and retention, stakeholder engagement and internal communications. You will also lead and develop a team of Marketing Coordinators, creating a high-performing, creative and customer-focused marketing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver the organisation's overarching marketing, brand and communications strategy.
- Lead the evolution and protection of the corporate brand across internal and external channels.
- Develop annual marketing plans, budgets and objectives, with clear KPIs and measurable outcomes.
- Lead the organisation's Employer Value Proposition (EVP) and employer brand strategy.
- Develop innovative recruitment marketing and talent attraction campaigns in partnership with HR and Recruitment.
- Deliver marketing initiatives that support referrals, occupancy, customer acquisition and sustainable business growth.
- Build brand awareness through campaigns, thought leadership, case studies, success stories and strategic communications.
- Develop strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, including commissioners, local authorities, social workers, education professionals, parents, carers and professional partners.
- Lead digital marketing activity including social media, content, website and campaign development.
- Oversee the continuous development of the organisation's website and digital presence.
- Lead internal communications, supporting employee engagement, organisational change and culture.
- Use market research, customer insight, competitor analysis and performance data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Oversee marketing collateral, publications, promotional resources and corporate materials.
- Manage external agencies, suppliers and marketing budgets.
- Lead, coach and develop the Marketing Coordinator team.
- Ensure marketing and communications activity complies with relevant legislation, including GDPR, advertising standards and accessibility requirements.
About You
We are looking for an accomplished senior marketing professional who combines strategic thinking with strong commercial and operational delivery. You will ideally have:
- Significant senior-level marketing experience, including responsibility for organisation-wide marketing and communications strategies.
- Proven experience of leading, coaching and developing a marketing team.
- Strong corporate brand management experience across multiple audiences and channels.
- Experience developing employer brands, EVPs and recruitment marketing campaigns.
- A track record of delivering marketing campaigns that support growth, customer acquisition or service development.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with senior internal and external audiences.
- Strong digital marketing experience covering websites, social media, email and content.
- Experience planning and delivering events, exhibitions and promotional activity.
- Experience managing agencies, suppliers and marketing budgets.
- Strong analytical and market insight capabilities, with the ability to use data and customer insight to shape strategy.
- A degree or professional qualification in Marketing, Communications, PR, Business or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Desirable Experience
Experience within education, children's services, healthcare, social care or the not-for-profit sector would be advantageous, as would experience working within a regulated or multi-site organisation. CIM or equivalent professional accreditation and/or a project management qualification would also be beneficial.

Location & Salary
Salary: £60,000 per annum Location: Hybrid – candidates must live within a commutable distance of Leeds.
