This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident ER specialist to join a growing and values-driven organisation, supporting their Education division, with a strong focus on engagement, retention and operational excellence.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of Employee Relations & Engagement, you will act as a trusted advisor to key stakeholders, providing expert guidance on a wide range of complex employee relations matters. You will take ownership of ER casework across your division, partner with senior leaders, and use data-led insights to drive proactive people solutions that enhance engagement and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse ER caseload from start to finish, including complex cases and Employment Tribunals
  • Provide coaching and guidance to managers, ensuring consistent and compliant ER practices
  • Analyse people data, trends and metrics to identify risks and implement solutions
  • Lead and support change initiatives including restructures, TUPE and organisational redesign
  • Deliver insights and monthly reporting on ER activity, absence and attrition
  • Support engagement, retention and wellbeing strategies across the division
  • Partner with leadership teams to strengthen capability, performance and succession planning
  • Ensure policies, procedures and HR frameworks remain compliant and fit for purpose

About You

We are seeking an experienced and resilient ER professional who thrives in a fast-paced, stakeholder-focused environment. You will bring:

  • Proven experience managing complex ER casework, including tribunal exposure
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
  • Strong stakeholder management and business partnering skills
  • Experience working within a regulated environment (education, healthcare or similar)
  • A data-driven approach, with the ability to translate insights into action
  • Excellent communication skills and a calm, compassionate style

Location & Travel

  • Remote-based role
  • Candidates should be located within Yorkshire or the Northwest, with regular travel required to the Leeds head office and regional sites
