Diamond Search Recruitment are proud to be supporting our client, a long-established and rapidly expanding specialist in wet stock management, mechanical and electrical services, and hazardous-area engineering. Our client supports major sectors such as Defence, Aviation, Rail, Water and Emergency Services, and continue to grow at pace.
This is a hands-on, multi-site role managing projects from initial brief through to completion. You will lead teams on site, coordinate subcontractors, manage budgets, and ensure all work is delivered to the highest safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Manage projects from concept to completion
- Prepare quotations, cost estimates and scopes of work
- Oversee commercial performance and ensure projects remain within budget
- Monitor labour, materials, subcontractors and plant costs
- Identify and mitigate cost risks
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans
- Lead and supervise project teams and specialist subcontractors
- Provide on-site leadership and ensure work meets required standards
- Liaise directly with customers to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions
- Track project progress, milestones and potential barriers
- Produce and review RAMS, permits to work and safety documentation
- Source materials, negotiate pricing and manage procurement
- Ensure suppliers and contractors are approved and inducted
- Maintain clean, compliant sites in line with CDM and safety regulations
- Ensure all documentation and internal systems are completed accurately
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
This role involves national travel. While projects will be allocated as close to home as possible, depending on home location, weekday stays away will be required, with accommodation and meals provided by the company.
What We're Looking For- Essential
- Strong project or site management experience within a technical, engineering or hazardous-area environment
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
- NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification
- Experience producing and reviewing RAMS
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to obtain full security clearance
- Willingness to work on sites across the UK

- Experience delivering mechanical or fuel-system installations
