We are currently recruiting for a Senior CNC Operator to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Cranbrook.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced CNC professional who is confident working independently, takes pride in producing high-quality components and is looking to develop their career within a supportive manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC machinery.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Setting tools, offsets and machine parameters.
- Producing components to precise tolerances and specifications.
- Carrying out in-process and final quality inspections.
- Using a range of precision measuring equipment.
- Identifying and resolving machining and production issues.
- Ensuring production targets and quality standards are achieved.
- Supporting and mentoring less experienced CNC operators where required.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop.
- Following all company health & safety and quality procedures. Requirements:
- Previous experience as a CNC Operator/Setter.
- Experience with FANUC is a must
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining and manufacturing processes.
- The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working to tight tolerances.
- Good knowledge of tooling, offsets and machine settings and solidworks.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
