Diamond Search Recruitment are delighted to be supporting their client in recruiting for an experienced Conveyancing Legal Secretary to join their team in Gravesend. You will support the team\ās feeāearners by providing competent, efficient and proactive legal secretarial and administration support, including postal and Reception duties, for planned and unplanned shortfalls in secretarial staffing, covering vacancies and staff absences.
Key responsibilities
To support one or more feeāearners in the management of the secretarial and administrative workload, ensuring that the priorities of the department are met
Accurate and timely preparation of correspondence from digital dictation and word processing
Organisation of the file management system, including maintaining the relevant paper and electronic filing systems and archiving
Proactively work with feeāearners to ensure relevant documentation is produced to meet clients\ā expectations and the needs of the business
Respond to internal and external client needs in a timely, professional, helpful and courteous manner
Ensure that the firm\ās post is distributed internally and sent out on time
Provide Reception cover as required for breaks and absences
Any other tasks which may reasonably be required from time to time
Key skills and knowledge
Excellent wordāprocessing and digital dictation skills
Experience of creation and amendments of long documents
Ability to manage large volumes of documents and data
Ability to manage a workload with competing deadlines
Recent practical experience of using word processing packages (preferably Microsoft Word)
Practical experience of handling client enquiries both by telephone and faceātoāface
Recent experience of working in a legal office environment
