Location: Kings Hill, Kent
Hours: Monday–Thursday (07:30 – 17:00), Friday (07:30 – 16:00)
Salary: £25,000 – £35,000 + Car Allowance & Excellent Benefits

About the Role
The Assistant Estimator works under regular supervision and is capable of assisting in the setup and successful running of all aspects of a tender. This role supports the effective and efficient running of pre-construction matters to:
* Prepare tenders and budgets to secure future projects
* Assist in keeping costs to a minimum while developing and maintaining excellent relationships with subcontractors and staff
* Support, advise, develop, and train all team members on pre-construction matters and other business aspects
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the preparation of budgets and tenders for new projects
* Collate tender documents and amendments
* Print and file all tender information
* Review tender documents to establish project requirements
* Undertake take-offs both manually and digitally from tender documents and drawings
* Produce Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
* Produce and issue enquiries to subcontractors
* Collate and evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparisons
* Input costs into BOQs
* Assist with the preparation of tender submissions
* Support handover of tender documents to project teams if secured
* Maintain and update subcontractor database
* Attend site visits
* Maintain control procedures in line with Integrated Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)

* Excellent IT skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to work within dedicated timescales
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Full driving licence
* Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and reliable
