Diamond Light Source is seeking a Power Electronics Engineer (3-year fixed-term contract) to develop the next generation of power supplies for the Diamond-II upgrade. The role focuses on quality, reliability, and stability, including addressing daily challenges of operating high-performance magnet power supplies.
You will design and prototype circuits, model controllers, test prototypes for EMC/noise, and support FPGA/microcontroller code alongside routine operations and maintenance.
