Diamond Home Support-Glasgow is looking for a passionate and reliable gardener to maintain and enhance our clients' gardens. We believe in a "green fingers" approach, valuing a genuine love for plants and the outdoors. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone looking to turn their hobby into a rewarding part-time career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • General Maintenance: Weeding, deadheading, and raking to keep borders and flowerbeds pristine.
  • Plant Care: Watering, feeding, pruning, and trimming shrubs, hedges, and trees to maintain health and shape.
  • Lawn Care: Mowing, strimming, and edging lawns.
  • Seasonal Tasks: Planting bulbs, annuals, and perennials according to the season.
  • Equipment Care: Safe operation and cleaning of basic tools (mowers, trimmers, shears).

Requirements:

  • Proven Passion: Experience maintaining your own garden or a friend/family member's garden, or equivalent community gardening experience.
  • Plant Knowledge: A basic understanding of different plant species, soil types, and their care requirements.
  • Physical Fitness: Capable of working outdoors in various weather conditions, including bending, lifting, and standing for long periods. NO work at height, tree felling or branch loping.
  • Reliability: Punctual, organized, and capable of working independently.
  • Tools: Use clients' tools & equipment.
  • License: Full clean driving license, and car essential.

  • Ideally live in the Airdrie, Coatbridge, Hamilton, Cumbernauld, Paisley, Rutherglen, Glasgow (City) area (will consider applications from anywhere in Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and North Lanarkshire).
