Diamond Home Support is looking for self-employed cleaners to work with households in Ely and the surrounding area.

You tell us which days you are available, how many hours you are looking for and the areas you are happy to cover.

We can then introduce you to clients whose cleaning requirements fit your schedule, and you decide which opportunities you want to accept.

Working With Regular Clients

  • Most clients require ongoing domestic cleaning either weekly or fortnightly.
  • Once agreed, you will normally visit the same household on the same day and at the same time.
  • £14.00 per hour, paid directly to you by each client.
  • Choose how many clients you want to take on.
  • Set the days and hours you are available to work.
  • Decide which parts of Ely and nearby areas you are willing to cover.
  • Insurance is provided for work arranged through Diamond Home Support.
  • Most appointments take place during weekday daytime hours, with no requirement for evening or weekend work.

Regular Cleaning May Include

  • Cleaning bathrooms, showers, baths and toilets.
  • Cleaning kitchen worktops, sinks and surfaces.
  • Dusting furniture and other surfaces.
  • Vacuuming carpets and floors.
  • Polishing where required.
  • Mopping or steam cleaning suitable flooring.
  • Cleaning internal windows.
  • Other general domestic cleaning agreed with the client.

Cleaning products and equipment are supplied by each household for use in their home.

What We're Looking For

  • Applicants who can work on a self-employed basis.
  • Previous domestic cleaning experience is preferred, although relevant experience from another cleaning environment may also be considered.
  • Be able to provide two references.
  • Have a driving licence and access to your own car.
  • Be able to travel reliably to clients in Ely and the surrounding area.

There is no requirement to work a particular number of hours.

Cleaners with existing clients can consider additional introductions when they have availability, while those looking to establish a new cleaning round can gradually build their hours with suitable regular clients.

Previous domestic cleaning experience is preferred, although relevant experience from another cleaning environment may also be considered.
