We are seeking a confident, motivated and results-driven Sales Executive to join our growing team. The role will involve speaking with businesses that have been identified by our internal research team, responding to enquiries and following up with organisations that have already shown interest in our award recognition and promotional services. Rather than relying entirely on unsolicited cold calling, the successful candidate will work with a combination of researched prospects, warm leads, previous contacts and inbound enquiries. You will guide potential clients through our award packages, explain the promotional benefits available and help them select the most suitable option for their business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating with business owners and converting genuine opportunities into sales. The Sales Executive will play an important part in increasing revenue, strengthening client relationships and supporting the continued growth of the company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contact businesses identified and researched by our internal team to introduce relevant award and promotional opportunities
  • Respond promptly to inbound enquiries and follow up with businesses that have expressed interest
  • Build positive, professional relationships with business owners, directors and decision-makers
  • Explain our award packages, promotional services and pricing clearly and confidently
  • Understand each organisation's objectives and recommend the most appropriate package
  • Follow up quotations, proposals and ongoing conversations to secure confirmed sales
  • Manage a structured pipeline of prospects, active opportunities and previous contacts
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, emails, client discussions and sales progress using our CRM system
  • Work collaboratively with the research, marketing and production teams to ensure a smooth client experience
  • Support existing clients with package upgrades, additional promotional opportunities and future recognition
  • Meet agreed individual and team sales targets
  • Keep up to date with the company's services, pricing, campaigns and current award recipients

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in sales, business development, account management or customer service is desirable
  • B2B sales experience would be advantageous
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A confident and professional telephone manner
  • The ability to build trust and rapport with business owners and decision-makers
  • Strong negotiation and objection-handling skills
  • A consultative approach to sales rather than an overly aggressive style
  • Good organisation and time-management skills
  • The ability to manage multiple conversations and follow-up dates effectively
  • Confidence using email, Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of sales opportunities
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a wider team
  • A consistent focus on customer service and professional conduct
