We have an opportunity for a Morning / Early Engineer to join our Redditch depot. Rate of pay is £20.50 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. We are looking for engineers to work a 40-hour contract Monday - Saturday 6:00am - 1:30pm (5 out of 6 days).
The individual must be a team player willing to learn and adapt to the running of a busy workshop. Experience of the industry HGV or PSV is necessary, and the individual must be confident in fault finding and rectification of all types of faults and defects. A PSV licence is preferred for the role but not essential. A good knowledge of the DVSA rules and legislation is important as inspections and MOT preparation will be required.
Your daily tasks will include:
- Preparing the fleet for PVR the next morning
- Service and inspections of the fleet
- Defect and rectification from driver walk round checks at the end of the bus's shift
- Engine, Adblue, Gearbox, Running gear replacements and repairs
- Attending and repairing roadside breakdowns where possible
