About the Role
Take the lead in a high-impact revenues role; we are seeking an experienced Revenues Team Manager to drive Council Tax billing, collection and enforcement performance on an initial 12-week contract.
This is a strong opportunity to step into a visible leadership role, influence service standards and support effective income collection while working on a flexible hybrid basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Council Tax billing, collection and enforcement services with confidence and accountability.
- Drive team performance, service quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
- Maximise income collection through fair, ethical and effective recovery practice.
- Resolve service issues, identify training needs and strengthen operational controls.
- Manage HR matters, projects, audits and external revenue contracts.
- Represent the council professionally at meetings, court hearings and tribunals.
About You
- Experienced Revenues professional with strong Council Tax, billing, collection and enforcement knowledge.
- Confident leader able to motivate teams, improve performance and deliver results.
- Strong Understanding of legislation, compliance and public sector best practice.
- Excellent communicator with sound judgement, problem-solving skills and stakeholder confidence.
- Committed to fair service delivery, equality, data protection and high-quality public service.
