Our local government clients in Sutton, London, are recruiting a Finance Administrator. This role offers an excellent opportunity for finance professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in the public sector. You will gain valuable experience, develop your skills, and contribute to Legal Finance, Adult Social Care (ASC) Teams, and Finance Hub Teams colleagues.

To excel in this role, you should possess strong numeracy and literacy skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in your work. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with accounting skills, is essential. If you have finance experience and enjoy interacting with people and resolving queries, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver an effective, efficient, and customer-focused service in line with corporate policies and within national legislation requirements.
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that any issues raised are resolved promptly.
  • Provide administrative support for the ASC collections Team where feasible.
  • Any other ad hoc duties as advised by the ASC Finance Hub Manager.
Qualifications – Essential:
  • GCSE Grade in English Language and Mathematics.
  • NVQ Level 3 / 4 in Business and Finance.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), social media and accounting software.
Criteria to be Evaluated at the Shortlisting Stage:
  • COP Case Management: Concentrate on the COP cases currently managed by Adult Social Care.
  • Disputed Cases: Work collaboratively with the Brokerage Team, Processing Team, and Financial Assessment Team on disputed cases.
  • Appointeeship Cases: Prioritise Appointeeship cases where savings exceed Β£50,000 and a deputyship application is required.
Essential Compliance Requirements:
  • 3 Years References, including current employment.
  • Willing to engage in the mandatory pre-assessment process.
