We are recruiting two Business Support Officers to join the Children's Social Care service team.

You will provide fast, accurate administrative support in a busy, customer-focused team.

  • Rate: £23.10 per hour (Umbrella)
  • Contract: 24 weeks, 21 September 2026 to 7 March 2027
  • Hours: 35 per week
  • Location: Lewisham, Greater London
  • Hybrid: 60% office-based, plus attendance when required
  • Vacancies: Two
  • Check: Standard DBS

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, clerical and reception support.
  • Manage correspondence, post, scanning, filing and electronic records.
  • Update case information on LCS, EHM, Contr OCC and Share Point.
  • Arrange meetings, visits and case conferences; prepare papers and take notes.
  • Handle telephone, email, online and face-to-face enquiries professionally.
  • Process referrals, applications, payments, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Support reporting, information requests and complaints administration.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow safeguarding, data protection and health and safety procedures.

About You

  • Recent experience in administration or business support.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, databases and digital records.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisation, accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information.
  • Ability to work independently and escalat e complex issues.
  • Public-sector or Children s Services experience is desirable.
  • LCS, EHM or Contr OCC experience is an advantage.
