Our local government clients in Sutton, London, are recruiting a Finance Administrator. This role offers an excellent opportunity for finance professionals looking to make a meaningful impact in the public sector. You will gain valuable experience, develop your skills, and contribute to Legal Finance, Adult Social Care (ASC) Teams, and Finance Hub Teams colleagues.
To excel in this role, you should possess strong numeracy and literacy skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in your work. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with accounting skills, is essential. ResponsibilityDeliver an effective, efficient, and customer-focused service in line with corporate policies and within national legislation requirements. Taking responsibility for ensuring that any issues raised are resolved promptly.
Qualification – Essential- GCSE Grade in English Language and Mathematics.
- NVQ Level 3 / 4 in Business and Finance.
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), social media and accounting software.
- COP Case Management: Concentrate on the COP cases currently managed by Adult Social Care.
- Disputed Cases: Work collaboratively with the Brokerage Team, Processing Team, and Financial Assessment Team on disputed cases.
- Appointeeship Cases: Prioritise Appointeeship cases where savings exceed £50,000 and a deputyship application is required.
- Administrative Support: Provide administrative support for the ASC collections Team where feasible.
- Any other ad hoc duties as advised by the ASC Finance Hub Manager.
- Stakeholder Engagement experience.
- 3 Years References, including current employment.
- Willing to engage in the mandatory pre-assessment process.
