We are seeking a Family Help Social Worker for a local government client in Weymouth, Dorset. You will join a supportive, well-structured, and growing team that offers flexible working arrangements and regular reflective supervision. Responsibilities
- Deliver statutory services in accordance with the Children Act 1989 and relevant legislation.
- Complete high-quality assessments and timely care plans.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children through direct, meaningful work.
- Build resilience with families using restorative and strengths-based approaches.
- Prepare clear, well-evidenced reports for court and multi-agency professionals.
- Chair meetings that bring professionals together to create a unified plan.
- Maintain accurate case records.
- Undertake specialist assessments with full training provided.
- Collaborate closely with early years providers, education, police, health, and community partners to develop coordinated, child-centred support.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Experience Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years' post-qualification experience within English local authorities.
- A committed and thoughtful practitioner with a strong knowledge of statutory children's services, who is confident in managing complex court work and passionate about improving outcomes for children and families.

Qualification – Essential
- GCSES or equivalent to include Maths and English.
- Degree in Social Work (or equivalent).
- SWE Registration.

- Five Years of References.
- Enhanced DBS/CRB.
