Are you an experienced SEN Caseworker ready for your next opportunity? We are recruiting a Senior SEN Caseworker to join the statutory SEN team on an initial 12-week assignment, with the potential to extend or become permanent, subject to performance.

This is a great opportunity to make an immediate impact, managing statutory SEN casework for children and young people aged 0 to Year 7. The role is equivalent to SEN Caseworker or SEN Coordinator positions in other local authorities and does not include line management.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Manage a statutory SEN caseload, including EHC needs assessments, EHC Plans, annual reviews and phase transfers.
  • Consult with education settings and liaise with families, schools and partner agencies to progress casework.
  • Handle complex casework, placement issues, escalations and panel preparation within statutory timescales.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous statutory SEN casework experience within a local authority or similar setting.
  • Strong knowledge of EHC processes, statutory deadlines and SEN legislation.
  • Excellent communication, organisation and caseload management skills.
