Responsibilities
- The Director of International Sales Engineering is a highly technical strategic leader who will oversee our entire SE organization across EMEA, APAC, and Japan.
- This role requires a deep understanding of the complex nuances of diverse international markets.
- This leader will navigate shifting regional dynamics, complex data residency requirements, product localization needs, and the varying nuances of AI adoption across different geographies.
- You will partner in lockstep with our International Sales Leadership to drive enterprise opportunities, grow our expanding Channel organization, lead technical presales strategy, and cultivate a world-class International SE organization.
- You will be a trusted, strategic advisor internally to our product and executive teams, and externally to our largest enterprise customers.
Build a World-Class Team: Attract, retain, and mentor top-tier Sales Engineering talent across EMEA, APAC, and Japan. Create a culture of excellence, continuous learning, and high performance.
Strategic Deal Execution: Partner with International Sales Leadership to drive revenue. Dive deep into complex, large-scale enterprise deals to develop account strategy, define technical win criteria, and align SE resources for scale.
Agentic AI Strategy: Understand and articulate enterprise AI adoption patterns across regions. Navigate the international AI regulatory landscape with confidence to develop the Agentic AI International GTM strategy.
Executive Engagement: Lead executive-level technical engagements with CIOs, CTOs, and IT Directors, building trust through expertise and strategic counsel.
Navigate International Complexity: Serve as the internal expert on international market nuances, including regional data residency and compliance laws (e.g., GDPR), localization requirements, and the specific regulatory and cultural impacts on AI adoption in different regions.
Drive Channel Expansion: Play a critical role in enabling and growing our international Channel organization, ensuring our partners are technically equipped to position our UCaaS, CCaaS, and Agentic AI solutions effectively.
Product Vision and Market Intelligence: Act as the voice of the international market. Analyze data, understand the global competitive landscape intimately, and partner with Product and Engineering to ensure our roadmap reflects international needs.
Foster Innovation: Increase the effectiveness of your international teams by recognizing opportunities for innovation, proactively implementing new systems, and creating scalable processes across different time zones and cultures.
Be a Trusted Advisor: Build deep, enduring relationships with new and existing multinational customers. Excel at understanding their unique business challenges and mapping them to our Agentic AI and communications portfolio.

Qualifications

- Minimum 8 years of people management experience.

- Proven track record of leading in International Markets.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Minimum 12 years of customer-facing experience working as either a Solution Architect, Sales Engineer, Implementation Engineer, Solutions Consultant, or similar roles.
