The role:
Diales Group Plc are seeking to hire a Junior Fire Engineer to join our growing team of technical experts and support our Operational Director, who is a well-established Fire Engineering Expert Witness. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious professional to work on a wide range of projects and play a key role in the continued growth of our Fire Engineering department. Expert witness work will give you the opportunity to explore fire engineering principles in depth and develop evidence-based technical judgement which can serve as an exceptional foundation for rapid career progression.
Key duties will include (but not be limited to):
- As a Junior Fire Engineer, you will work alongside a team of experienced Fire Engineers and assist with the delivery of building safety projects and propose fire engineering solutions in high-risk and complex legal cases.
- You will also support the preparation of technical reports, coordinate with internal disciplines and external stakeholders.
Key candidate criteria:
- A degree in Fire Engineering or equivalent as a first degree or postgraduate.
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation.
- Accredited Fire Risk Assessment qualification or equivalent would be advantageous but not essential.
- Ideally MIFireE and/or membership of a relevant professional body.
- Ability to work on complex projects in a proactive and diligent manner.
- Able to work as part of a team to review fire engineering work.
- Hold full, clean UK driving license and has own vehicle.
- Excellent administration skills and good use of the English language.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
