Our client seeks a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to deliver turnkey projects in bespoke electrical and instrumentation systems for aero engine testing and development.
THE ROLE
This is real hands-on problem solving engineering, involving interesting and complex work in an exciting sector. On offer is a competitive package with a well-established and highly respected independent business that boasts exceptional staff retention and team stability.
Key skills required:
- Understanding of project engineering from concept to handover
- Knowledge of safety critical engineering / high integrity sectors
- Electrical Design, including full schematics and BOMs
- Instrumentation, calibration and measurement systems
- Sensors, transducers and associated instrumentation
- FAT, SAT & Commissioning

ABOUT YOU
You should enjoy solving practical engineering problems and having autonomy for projects through their full lifecycle. The consequence of engineering failure should be at the heart of a safety critical mindset and reflect in the attention to detail in your solutions definitions and electrical design. You should also be prepared for some overseas travel for the purpose of commissioning your work on site with customers.
In addition to the key skills above, the following would be advantageous:
- AutoCAD electrical
- NI Signal Conditioning / Data Acquisition
- NI LabVIEW software
- Vibration Systems Knowledge
- Previous or current SC security clearance
Applicants may currently be working as Electrical Design Engineers, EC&I Engineers, Instrumentation Engineers, Controls & Instrumentation Engineers, Test Systems Engineers, Project Engineers or similar within aerospace, defense, oil & gas, energy, scientific instrumentation or other highly regulated engineering environments.
