We are looking for a Lead Cardiac Physiologist to oversee a team of specialists, ensuring high-quality patient care, supporting professional development, and driving service excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Manage: Oversee a team of Cardiac Physiologists, providing mentorship, training, and performance management.
  • Perform & Report: Conduct and interpret adult transthoracic echocardiograms following BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and calibrate equipment, ensuring compliance with clinical and contractual standards.
  • Operational Support: Work closely with the operations team to coordinate clinical capacity and ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with NHS commissioners, GP practices, and hospital departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Clinical Excellence: Support audits, risk management, governance, and accreditation efforts to uphold the highest standards.

  • BSc (Hons) in a relevant field
  • BSE Accreditation (British Society of Echocardiography)
  • Extensive cardiology knowledge & experience
  • Strong leadership & mentoring abilities
