Non-Invasive & Training Lead Cardiac Physiologist. Lead a diverse team of Cardiac Physiologists to perform and report adult trans-thoracic echocardiograms in line with BSE minimum data set and local reporting guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms independently following BSE guidelines.
- Ensure quality assurance checks on equipment and act appropriately.
- Submit reports, archive study images, and maintain record compliance with contractual requirements and SOPs.
- Coordinate with hospital departments and GP practices for urgent clinical referrals.
Clinical
- Obtain formal/informal consent and check for contraindications.
- Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment.
- Store diagnostic results in line with SOPs.
- Provide appropriate care to patients during encounters.
Operations
- Support operational staff to meet clinical capacity requirements.
- Explain test details and result timing to patients.
