Deluxe Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Night Traffic Operator to join our clients team at their Preston Depot working a 4 on 4 off rotation ensuring their customers receive a first-class service in a cost-effective way.
Our client is a privately owned business, that has grown significantly in recent years, now providing a diverse range of Logistics Services throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Hours of work: 19:00 - 07:00. 4 on 4 off. Opportunity of overtime if desirable.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
- Monitor deliveries and collections for the local area.
- Oversee night trunking operations between depots and central hubs.
- Oversee Irish Sea bookings.
- Shift brief and debrief with the driving team.
- Compiling reports.
- Completing a comprehensive handover.
- Resolving issues and discrepancies on inbound and outbound freight.
- Liaise with other depots to ensure seamless movement of freight throughout the night.
The Person: This role is ideally suited to an individual who has previous experience within a traffic department. Demonstrate a keen eye for detail whilst working under pressure. A demonstrable understanding of transport-related issues including drivers' hours regulations is essential. Sound knowledge of the commercial aspects of operating a fleet. Disciplined and methodical approach with the ability to problem solve.
