Duties:
- The role will enable the delivery of D&T objectives with stakeholders across the geography.
- The role looks after the needs of users across the Scottish Brand Homes.
- Many of our IT services are provided by IT suppliers, so the role requires influencing and vendor management capabilities.
- There is limited need for hands-on IT tasks, but a general knowledge of IT is advantageous.
- Building on the strategic decision to outsource, the role will drive excellent execution of IS Services by way of optimised processes and support from our IS outsource Partners (TCS, Wipro and Albion).
- Work closely with the business and our service partners to ensure quality delivery and availability of all IS services.
- Management of local and global D&T partners (TCS, Wipro and Albion) supporting infrastructure to ensure services are delivered as per agreed SLAs.
- Management and facilitation of local applications to ensure support services are delivered as per agreed SLAs, liaising with all parties for problem solving, improvements and aid resolutions.
- Co-ordinate project activities with local service providers.
- Achieve high level of customer satisfaction measured via annual CS survey.
- Develop and maintain annual operating plan according to D&T strategy and local priorities.
- Develop and maintain close and professional relationships with users and the management team in order to advise and support them more efficiently.
- Be the trusted face of knowledgeable D&T management to the business.
- Effective relationships are in place internally and externally that enable achievement of outcomes with pace.
- Maintain good understanding of Diageo D&T global direction and policies and apply consistently.
- Maintain good understanding of Diageo business processes and strategic business drivers.
- Ensure controls are in place to guarantee Diageo’s performance and reputation.
- Ensure compliance with legal authorities and company standards including local external audit requirements.
- Promote IS awareness via relative events and continuous communication.
- Use regular communications to manage expectations of the business regarding services and future projects.
Skills:
- Experience in IS in a customer-facing role.
- Experience of support within an outsourced environment.
- Ability to build and maintain successful relationships with business stakeholders, IS partners and the wider IS community.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and solutions in business language.
- Self-directed and focused.
- Business knowledge in IS process and service management applications.
Technical Experience:
- Experience of working with Active Directory Architecture, in particular domain services and forest level functionality.
- Understanding of basic network functionality: IP subnets, VLANs, network gateways, VPN, DHCP, DNS, WINS and basic firewall functionality.
- Ability to troubleshoot basic functions of CISCO networking switches and routers.
- Experience working in a Cloud computing environment and familiarity with virtualization technologies.
- Experience of working with IP Telephony and wireless LAN technologies.
- Experience of manufacturing systems and processes.
- Experience of Video Conference technologies.
Education:
- ITIL Foundation qualification.
- College/University graduate level.
